PAULANER “MATCH OF YOUR LIFE” CONTEST
OFFICIAL RULES
ELIGIBILITY: The Paulaner “Match of Your Life” Contest (the “Contest”) begins at approximately 12:01 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on June 1, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on July 20, 2026 (the "Contest Period"). The Contest is open to legal resident males in the United States who have never played or do not play for any semi-professional or professional soccer team or club. Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of entry. The following persons are not eligible to participate: (1) employees of (i) Paulaner USA LLC (“Sponsor”), (ii) Sponsor’s advertising/promotions agencies, (iii) Judges, (iv) alcoholic beverage licensees, (v) parent, subsidiary, and affiliated companies of any of the foregoing, (2) family members of any of the foregoing employees, and (3) individuals who have played, or currently play, soccer for any semi-professional or professional soccer team or club. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor.
HOW TO ENTER. To receive one (1) entry (“Entry”): (1) Complete in its entirety the personal questionnaire which can be found at www.PaulanerMatchofYourLife.com. (2) Sign the questionnaire and upload a video of yourself that showcases your passion, personality, and soccer ability. The size of your video cannot exceed 30 megabytes in size. No purchase is necessary to enter, but an internet connection is required. Limit of one (1) Entry per person. A purchase of Paulaner beer will not improve chances of winning.
ENTRY CRITERIA. Creativity is encouraged. This is your moment to stand out. Your video submission may include, but is not required to include, (i) interview-style footage explaining who you are, your soccer journey, and why you deserve this opportunity, (ii) soccer skills, gameplay highlights, or training footage, (iii) any other relevant content that demonstrates your talent, competitiveness, and love for the game. There are no strict creative limits, but submissions should be authentic, compelling, and reflective of your soccer experience. Your Entry cannot be offensive, indecent, illegal, profane, derogatory, violent, disparaging, promote the irresponsible consumption of alcohol or unsafe activities, or communicate a message inconsistent with the positive image of Paulaner beer. In addition, Entries cannot include any copyrights or trademarks owned by another person, or which infringes upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property or other legal rights of any person or entity. If an Entry includes pictures, likenesses, or video of other individuals, such individuals must be 21 years of age or older and have provided permission to the entrant to use the picture, likeness, or video as part of the Entry. No group or collaborative efforts are allowed and Entries are restricted to individual entrants only. Sponsor reserves the right to receive proof of permissions in a form acceptable to Sponsor and the failure to provide permissions may result in disqualification of the Entry. Sponsor reserves the right to reject any Entry without notice that Sponsor, in its sole discretion, determines as not meeting the above criteria or is otherwise not in keeping with the image and reputation of Paulaner beer. Sponsor’s decisions on timing of submitted Entries are final. By entering the Contest, you represent and warrant that (a) you are the sole owner of your Entry, (b) you are transferring and assigning to Sponsor the right to use the Entry for purposes of promoting and publicizing the Contest and for judging the Entry, (c) you have not granted anyone any rights to use or own your Entry, and (d) your Entry meets the criteria as required in the Official Rules.
By submitting your Entry, you agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Judges and Sponsor, which are final and binding. By submitting your Entry, you acknowledge and agree that Sponsor may obtain many submissions in this Contest and that your Entry may be similar or identical in theme, content, idea, format, or other respects to others submitted, and you waive any and all claims that an Entry accepted or selected by Sponsor as a winning Entry is similar or identical to your Entry.
JUDGING:
All eligible Entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges selected by the Sponsor. Each Entry will be reviewed in its entirety and assessed in the Judges’ sole discretion based on the Entrant’s overall soccer background, demonstrated experience and potential, and the content of the submitted video, including how effectively the Entry conveys the Entrant’s suitability for this match opportunity. The judges will select six (6) winners (each a “Winner”). Judging will be completed on or before August 31, 2026. Winners will be notified by email or phone and are subject to confirmation of eligibility.
PRIZE: Each Winner will be awarded the following prize (the “Prize”): (i) Roundtrip coach airfare for the Winner from the international airport closest to the Winner’s residence (as determined by Sponsor) to Munich Germany, (ii) three (3) consecutive nights hotel stay in Munich, Germany at a hotel selected by Sponsor with accommodations to include one (1) standard room and morning breakfast, and (iii) an invitation to qualify to play in an exhibition match to be held in Munich Germany against FC Bayern Munich.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: THE CONTEST IS BEING CONDUCTED IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER SIMILAR PROGRAMS BEING HELD IN THE UNITED STATES AND OTHER COUNTRIES BY PAULANER USA LLC AND PAULANER BRAUEREI GRUPPE GMBH & CO. KGAA WHICH ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH THIS CONTEST AND WHERE OTHER INDIVIDUALS (THE “OTHER PLAYERS”) WILL ALSO BE INVITED TO QUALIFY TO PLAY IN THE EXHIBITION MATCH AGAINST FC BAYERN MUNICH. WINNERS OF THE CONTEST ARE ONLY ENTITLED TO THE PRIZE AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE OFFICIAL RULES (AIRFARE AND HOTEL) AND ARE NOT GUARANTEED TO PLAY IN ANY MATCH INVOLVING FC BAYERN MUNICH. AFTER ARRIVING IN MUNICH GERMANY, EACH WINNER WILL BE FURTHER JUDGED AND COMPARED TO THE OTHER PLAYERS IN ORDER TO SELECT 11 FINALISTS WHO WILL PLAY IN THE EXHIBITION MATCH AGAINST FC BAYERN MUNICH. PARTICIPANTS WHO ARE UNWILLING TO TRAVEL TO GERMANY BECAUSE OF HEALTH, SAFETY, OR OTHER CONCERNS SHOULD NOT ENTER THE CONTEST AS NO CASH ALTERNATIVE TO THE PRIZE WILL BE AVAILABLE OTHER THAN AS STATED IN THE OFFICIAL RULES. WINNERS ARE REPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING PASSPORT AND ALL OTHER DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR TRAVEL TO GERMANY. IN THE EVENT THE FC BAYERN EXHIBITION MATCH IS CANCELLED PRIOR TO TRAVEL TO GERMANY, EACH WINNER WILL RECEIVE, IN LIEU OF THE PRIZE, A CHECK IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,000.00 (“ARV”). IF THE FC BAYERN EXHIBITION MATCH IS RESCHEDULED, EACH WINNER WILL BE GIVEN THE OPTION TO RECEIVE THE PRIZE AND TRAVEL TO GERMANY AS DESCRIBED IN THE OFFICIAL RULES OR, IN LIEU OF THE PRIZE, RECEIVE A CHECK FOR $4,000.00.
PRIZE CONDITIONS: All entrants understand that, if selected as a Winner, the Winner must be available between the dates of May 1, 2027 and October 31, 2027 to travel to Munich, Germany. If a Winner does not respond to Sponsor’s notification of being selected as a Winner within seven (7) days from time of Sponsor’s notification, or if a Winner (i) fails to complete and return any required documents (including a copy of Winner’s passport) within the time specified by Sponsor, (ii) is found to be ineligible, (iii) cannot use the Prize on the specified dates, or (iv) fails to comply with the Official Rules, the Winner will be disqualified, and Sponsor will select another winner if time permits. In the event there is a difference between the actual value of the Prize and the stated ARV of the Prize, there will be no refund or reimbursement provided. Winner must provide his social security number as a condition to being awarded the Prize and will be issued an IRS Form 1099 for the stated ARV of the Prize. The Prize must be accepted as awarded. All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. The Winner will be required to provide proof of identity, age, and residency. Once travel arrangements have been made, they cannot be changed. Prize acceptance constitutes permission to use Winner’s name and address (city and state) and likeness for publicity purposes without additional compensation. In the event that a Winner does not use the Prize or any portion of the Prize, or declines the Prize, in whole or in part, there will be no reimbursement or compensation provided. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and Judges and waive any right to claim ambiguity with regard to the mechanics of the Contest or interpretation of the Official Rules. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor and any Judge in the Contest and their respective agents, representatives, officers, directors, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, or liability due to injuries (including death), damages, or losses to person or property suffered by the entrant resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Contest and from use of the Prize.
LIMITS OF LIABILITY: Sponsor and its agents and their respective officers, directors, and employees are not responsible for lost, late, delayed, inaccurate, incomplete, or misdirected entries, or for any electronic, network, or computer or phone failures or malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed transmissions that may limit a user’s ability to participate in the Contest, or for any other hardware, software, or technical errors of any kind including any injury or damage to any person’s electronic equipment related to or resulting from participating in the Contest, or for other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, phone, network, typographical, printing or otherwise, relating to or in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the processing of Entries, use of the Prize, or with respect to any Contest-related materials. Winner is responsible for proper behavior at all times and no refund or compensation will be provided if the Winner is denied or removed from any venue or location as a result of improper, disruptive, or unruly behavior. All Entries become the property of the Sponsor. Headings are provided for convenience only. Sponsor is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage, inconvenience, or loss of time arising out of any acts, omissions, or negligence, of any person including, without limitation, any person providing any service or accommodation in conjunction with the Prize, or for delays or cancellations resulting from mechanical breakdown, closings, strikes, government actions, inclement weather, sickness, injury, or Acts of God. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with the mechanics or logistics of this Contest will be declared ineligible and may be prosecuted. Prize will be awarded unless Sponsor cannot obtain all required documents from the Winners or from lack of participation. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of being conducted as planned because of tampering, intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other reason (each an “Intervening Cause”), which affects the security, fairness, or proper execution of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Contest. Sponsor makes no warranty as to the merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose of the Prize awarded. Any disputes regarding the Contest shall be governed by New York law and resolved in courts located in Westchester County, New York. Any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred by the claimant to enter the Contest, but in no event attorney fees. By participating, the entrant agrees to waive any rights to bring a claim against Sponsor as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class action or proceeding and waives any and all claims for punitive, incidental, and consequential damages. Void where prohibited.
